GBARC Amateur Radio Courses
|
The
hobby of Amateur Radio is
the personal, not-for-profit use of shortwave radio equipment for communication
and technical training.
|
| Amateur
Radio is also a hobby of experimentation. Our
course
provides a basis for further personal study and discovery. Subjects are examined
at a concept or system level, rather than at a detailed circuit analysis level
and the course includes plenty of hands on training so you can set up and
operate your own radio station.
|
|
As a result anyone can pass a simple proficiency test and become a radio amateur, regardless of age or previous technical background. We have been running courses for many years and have had people of all ages and walks of life successfully pass the Industry Canada exam.
|
| Our course this year will be on the 3rd and 10th of May 2008. |
